Baile entre Colmillos

Stop Motion short film
DEmiansticker_04.PNG
"Baile entre colmillos"  is a stop motion project I developed during my final semester of college.
This short film was created primarily by a team of three people over the course of 11 weeks.
These were some of the responsibilities I handled during the production:
Led the Storyboard and Animatic Creation
For this project, I was in charge of the storyboard as well as the creation and editing of the animatic. I created most of the scenes, except for the dance sequences, which were animated by another team member. This allowed us to define the timing of each shot for accurate animation
Creation of Puppets and Props

Being a stop motion production, this work was much more manual than digital. I personally focused on creating the interchangeable facial expressions for the characters using clay and pins. I also made all the props the characters interact with, such as the necklace, mirror, and lipstick
Animation Lead
As the animation team leader, I assigned scenes based on their level of difficulty and each team member’s skill set, ensuring everyone could contribute effectively to the project. I animated most of the shots, supervised the team’s work, and provided feedback to maintain quality and consistency. Additionally, I collaborated closely with the team to overcome technical and creative challenges throughout the production.

Flop-z

3D Animated Short Film

This project marked my first experience leading a team and developing a story for a 3D animation production. In just four months, a team of six members worked together to bring the short film to life. Throughout the process, I learned how to manage a team, analyze each member’s skills, assign tasks according to their strengths, and manage time to meet deadlines.
These were some of the responsibilities I handled during the production:
Storyboard and Visual Narrative Development
In Flop-z, I was responsible for creating the storyboard and developing the visual narrative, shaping the story from a visual perspective and setting the rhythm of the animation. I planned the key scenes to ensure the action, story flow, and character emotions were accurately represented in each frame.
Rigging
In this project, I was responsible for rigging the main character, Ari. I designed the rig to be versatile, allowing for a wide range of facial and body expressions. Additionally, it was optimized for body mechanics animations, ensuring smooth and natural movements in the scenes.
